The “Imagine it on 2 wheels” campaign was launched in June, 2011. School children from all over the country could send us pictures, photos or videos about their desired bike-friendly neighborhood – how would it look like if everything was built according to their wishes. For example how would a bike-friendly street look like if was only up to their imagination.
HCC organized the campaign in association with the Dutch Embassy, and there were three more companies involved (KLM Royal Dutch Arilines, ING Insurance Hungary, INTERSPORT Hungary) who will provide the prizes for the best works.
The prizes for each of the two categories are:
- A weekend in Amsterdam for 2 for the winners,
- a brand new bike worth ~400 EUR for the second place and
- vouchers worth ~200 EUR for the third place.
We provided an online form where the participants could upload their works, but we have received many drawings by mail also, alltogether over 300 artworks. An exhibition of the best artworks was installed in the “Europa Pont” – the advocacy of the European Commission in Budapest, the exhibition will be open for public from the September 19 - October 7.
Pictures of the opening and prize giving ceremony can be found here.
The campaigns aim was to promote cycling in schools, and to focus on a new targetgroup in our campaigns: the young ones, see “Bike to School” campaign.
